Old26Buick Posted May 11, 2012 Share Posted May 11, 2012 I need to replace the large coil spring in the clutch on my 27 Buick Standard. According to my shop manual it should be about 4 1/2" high. Mine is only 4 1/8" high.. Do I need to replace it. I have two used ones and they both measure the same. I can get a new one made for about $100-150. I really hate to take it about again.
