Guest Rob J
I have a line on some parts, but am wanting to know how feasible is it to install cruise on a non cruise car? Isn't there an accessory wiring harness needed in addition to the cruise's harness? Was the speedo gauge different, as I know with a non cruise car, you have the speed minder buzzer, and a cruise car uses that dial to set the speed. What's involved to convert the that dial to work with the cruise system. Just gathering info before I decide to purchase the cruise system.Thanks. RivNut
If you have access to a chassis manual, check out the section on cruise controls. You'll see wiring harnesses, switches, transducers, completely different speedometer heads, etc., etc. If you're not going for a 400 point restoration, I'd go with a small aftermarket unit that operates off your driveshaft.Ed
