1925 Model T Huckster Pickup

Recommended Posts

This is a very nice AACA national first prize winning Model T that has seen very little use since it won its awards at Hershey several years ago. Very nicely presented with excellent wood and upholstery and very period-appropriate looking paint that is probably single-stage enamel, and not over-shiny urethane. I like that this one has beautiful exposed wood ribs inside and the roll-down side curtains for the bed area to secure cargo. Paint shows no chips or scratches and shines up nicely. Absolutely no issues with the wood, which is beautifully finished oak.

The interior, such as it is, offers upholstery that's like new, a new rubber mat, and, well, that's about it. The Model T is all about basics, and this one is just that. Ammeter works, fires on the magneto and has both electric and hand-crank start.

The engine runs well, with that traditional Model T sound. Transmission works properly, steering is light, brakes are about as good as they get for a Model T (plan your stops accordingly). The engine shows light signs of use, but could be put back into show condition with a minimum of effort. It appears to have modern sealed bearings in the water pump and fan assembly, but everything else is correctly detailed for show. The chassis is merely dusty from storage, but could also be back in show condition without a lot of work.

One of the more desirable late Model T body styles that really needs nothing more than a good clean up to be ready to show. Fully functional and great for tooling around, and there's no better way to attract attention at the local lumber yard than an old pickup.

Asking $24,900 or best offer.
