1929 Model A Roadster Pickup *SOLD*

As the owner of a Model A roadster myself, I'm a big fan of these sturdy little cars. The roadster pickup is one of the more desirable body styles, and this one was restored several years ago. The Washington Blue paint is brand new and shows well, but this isn't a concours truck. It's perhaps a little over-accessorized for my tastes, with a grille guard, dual sidemounts with mirrors, whitewalls, wind wings, step plates, and cowl lights, but it's quite handsome overall. Everyone smiles when they see it, and I took it to Home Depot a few days ago to pick up some sand bags for winter. The guys in the loading area went nuts over this little trucklet.

The top and interior are typical Lebaron-Bonney stuff that was installed when the truck was initially restored and still show well with some signs of use. The speedometer works, but neither the fuel gauge nor the ammeter are functional (ammeter probably doesn't work due to the 6V alternator that has been installed). The floor mat looks new, and there's a master cut-off switch fitted in the floor just behind the shifter. And yes, I'm going to find a screw to fit in the gauge panel so that'll be corrected momentarily.

It starts and runs like a Model A should, with a little choke during cranking. Zips through traffic easily and idles nicely. Mechanical upgrades include a 6V alternator, fresh clutch and pressure plate, and recently serviced brakes. Everyone who has driven a Model A knows how they feel and sound, so you'll be right at home here. A fun little truck that can be enjoyed immediately.
