SIPLOWGUY
The first one I installed broke. It had alot of tension on it. I bought a repro upper hose and retainer from Fusick. I have to really stretch the hose and the retainer wants to snap again. It seems from photos I have seen that on the 67 Cutlass the hole for the retainer is closer to the edge of the top radiator cover. on the 66 it is in more. Anyone know about this? Do the 66 and 67 use different hoses?
Guest rsd9699
Have you checked the engine mounts? An auto box store may can answer your hose length question. Different brands may make the hose length slightly shorter or longer.Ron
SIPLOWGUY
Engine mounts are good. I can't find a listing for a pre formed hose.
Guest rsd9699
An option may be to buy a thermostat housing that is longer to provide the clearances you need.Or sleeve the current housing for the additional length needed.Ron
