old-tank Posted November 15, 2011 Share Posted November 15, 2011 You don't need a 2 speed motor...the 2 speeds are controlled by a resistor in the switch. Many generic motors will fit and originality is not an issue since it cannot be seen. On the other hand not much goes wrong with the original motor unless it is locked solid with rust. Usually all you need to do is disassemble, clean the oxidation from the commutator and lubricate.Willie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
