Guest rwolf Posted November 7, 2011 Share Posted November 7, 2011 While replacing the line to the oil psi guage I had to drop the pan on my 24, 4 cyl Buick and found that the felt I used as a rear seal ( made from shoe inersole ) had disintingrated and was on the oil screen and parts of the flywheel. I was lucky no real damage was done but are their any suggestions on something else to use, or a source? When I replace the pan I like to use annerobic(forgive the spelling) gasket maker so I don't have to get a gasket set.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jim65Riv Posted November 8, 2011 Share Posted November 8, 2011 Check with Olson's Gasket - Olson's Gaskets - in Port Orchard, WA. I got an oil pan gasket from them for my 1922 6 cylinder.
