Den41Buick
My shop manual indicates the recommended brake fluid for my 41 Buick is Delco Super 9. Is that available anywhere? If not does anyone know its replacement? Thanks
Owen_Dyneto
It 'was a precursor to today's DOT3 which should be mutually compatible. But it's an excellent idea if the car has been out of service for a while to open the wheel cylinders and purge the old fluid and flush with new fluid before closing it up and topping it off. Den41Buick
Thanks. Any recommendation on a particular brand that has worked well?
Owen_Dyneto
Despite a wide range of product labels, there are only a couple of manufacturers so it all comes out of only a couple of pots. Just pick a recognizeable name-brand and avoid bottles/cans that appear like old stock.
