vergil
I'm in the process of replacing the spark wires-no problem. I don't know how to disengage the wire from the coil. I don't want to just yank it out. This setup is different from any other I've replaced and I'm a bit confused. Thanks!!Bill
1936 D2
Some coils on the earlier cars have a screwed in Bakelite fitting for the secondary wire fitting. Try checking under the rubber by rolling it inside out back up the wire and see if there is one of these knurled top, screwed in fittings under there. If so, just unscrew it. You will then be able to see how the wire is installed in it. Others on this forum may have more specific info. Maybe mention the year of the vehicle you are working on. Good luck.
