Guest geovan
Hello, I have a 1987 5th ave. 2nd owner, great car. Air quit blowing thru vents. Behind the heat - a/c control there is a clear block 6 black hoses and 1 red. At the other end is a greenish colored block. Greenish end is broke. No trace of where the multi colored lines hook to it. Omaha Dodge dealer says it is discontinued parts. Junk yards all say " that cars way too old ". My wife had an idea get some vacuum lines next size up and by pass the green block. Hose fits over perfectly. Now there is I want to say a purple , has the blend door check valve on it , a yellow , orange, green blue and black hoses under dash. 6 is what we found. Does anyone know the configuration ? Sucks not having a/c , but Dec. in Omaha would be very cold:eek:
Rusty_OToole
If no one here knows you may be able to find an 87 repair manual. Some big libraries have them. Or ask at Allpar or one of the other Mopar sites.
Guest geovan
Thanks Rusty. We got it put back together, but not properly. At least the a/c is blowing cold thru the vent. I will look at those pages . Have a great day
