Olds plumbing

I looked in the 56 chassis manual - no luck - may be in the body manual that I do not have.

While I have 2 56 Olds - they are stored a 100 miles away so no access to any quick pictures.

To basically describe what you need to know plus a little trial and error.

The jar water pump piston is activated by the the little button in the wiper control. Vacuum is routed from the engine vacuum pump to the washer piston. When the button is released - the washer piston takes its load of water to the wiper nozzles through hoses under the dash.

There are two hoses to the wiper control. One is engine vacuum the other to the wiper piston. Once you have the hoses working for the vacuum - you take the water output to the nozzles through the firewall and under the dash to each nozzle.

Maybe someone will post the info you requested but it only takes a little trial and error time to get them figured out. The water line and two vacuum lines go through the same grommet on the fire wall. I think the vacuum lines are smaller than the water line.

Poor explanation perhaps beats nothing.
