Guest drbogey1
how does one set the points on this 1928 Buick horn, If I set them when the engine is cold, the horn does not seem to work well when the engine is hot. has anyone else encountered this problem? Dandy Dave
I usually set the points to where the horn sounds good while it is hooked up to a battery. No real science there. Just take note that it will get slightly more power when the car is running and charging and sound a little louder. Dandy Dave!
Guest drbogey1
that is precisely what I did, the horn sounded great, then after running the engine for approx. 1 hour the horn went kaput. Can the engine heat affect the settings or is my horn haywire?
