Guest Lt Morty
What does it take, and is it possible to backdate a 1946 buick super or roadmaster to a 1942 model?Has anyone done this?If anyone has a decent 1942 Buick special, super etc for sale that might also be a solution...Morty
Matt Harwood
What are you proposing? You can't make a 1946 car a 1942 car, not legally, anyway, and not practically, either. And why would you want to? Someone would always be able to spot the forgery because you can't possibly change everything that needs changing, up to and including re-stamping numbers on components. There are '42s out there, I promise Morty. I know you're excited to have one, but I spent 2 years looking for my '41 Century, and the wait was worth it--I got exactly what I wanted. Guest Lt Morty
Hi.I guess backdating was a bad choise of word... I was thinking more like a replica; Change the hood ornament, grille etc.But maybe its better to wait for just that perfect car :-)
