Gents,

I have a leak in my Rochester Qjet on the passenger side. Its coming out of a spot thats not a hole but looks like an internal part is set there, the silver circle. Sorry, I am not sure what it is. I will take it apart tonight but in the mean time do any of you have a suggestion on how to stop the leak? No one likes a Car-B-que...

I was thinking JB weld or epoxy.

Thank you

When it becomes necessary to buy parts for this carburetor, be advised it's not a Qjet. Buick put its first Ojet on the Riviera in '66. This carb is a Rochester 4GC (C for choke.) They were used by all GM divisions for a number of years. Jon "The Carb King" reads this site sometimes and can give you really good advice. He owns The Carburetor Shop in Eldon, MO. I replaced the 4GC on my '63 with a Carter AFB a long time ago. The AFB doesn't have any gaskets below the float level; therefore no leaks.
