Model T Header Bow fit a DB?

Just going through a Model T vendors catalog and see that they offer top bow sets in the same width as I need (or that I tihnk I need) for my DB (54"). My questions to the more knowledgeable and experienced:

Has anyone done this substitution? I do have a call into a recommended top bow person but I can't seem to call at a good time to talk personally.
