RivNut Posted May 25, 2010 Share Posted May 25, 2010 Normally the power for the kickdown comes from the same fuse as the windshield wipers (yellow wire.) Crawl under the car with a hot 12V source and touch each of the terminals on the sender attached to the driver's side of the transmission; you should be able to hear the solenoids inside the transmission engage. If there' working, start moving your power source closer and closer to the switch and continue to listen for the solenoid to be activated. This should enable you to narrow down your problem.
