Guest eray
Both the Starter and Generator for my 1924 Chevy Restore project Have pot metal end caps (Brush holder etc). They are deteriated badly. Anyone with information on repair or even picture of what they should look like would help. Of course a source of generator or starter for it would also be welcome. Guest DeSoto Frank
Also, check with "The Filling Station" in Washington state... they do carry some parts for pre-'29 Chevys, and I think starter/generator/distributor castings are among them. Guest eray
Thanks Ron and Frank. Filling station has none. Gary Wallace is currently out of town. I will keep trying.E. Ray
Guest g29eh
eray, i know this was an old post, but was wondering if you ever solved your problem with the starter and generator ends? I was playing around on the computer (surfing the web) and found your post. I registered to see if you solved the problem. I ended up buying the generator end from Gary wallace. Pricey but could not duplicate. I did end up with a fix on the starter. I was not sure if there are starter ends available. Let me know what you found.
