Final Answer for my 99's issues

Well it has been a strange path to get to a healthy engine again.

Some will remember my issues with the mass air flow sensor, remanufactured vs new, vacuum leaks, etc and mis-diagnosis on a body code, of all things.

The weirdest thing was the failure of the reman sensor while I corrected the vacuum issues, and still not making progress, thinking the sensor was solid.

I finally went back to O'Reily's, and convinced them to take back the unknown condition reman and let me pay the difference to gain a new one.

when I removed the reman, the darn thing had separated, the "lid" was loose on 40% of the circumference. so all my vacuum correction was for naught, as the thing was seeping.

tonight, new sensor, and back to the beast she has always been, beating all comers, and wearing the usual smile.

Thanks to all who cautioned against going with the reman. and to look for vacuum leaks...
