Fuel economy

Just out of curiousity, which is generally better on fuel the turbo II or the V6? I understand the turbo doesn't assist till 3600 rpm or so. With the TC being fairly heafty for it's size would make it a little under powered and thus a little thirsty?

Thanks David, so it looks pretty similar to my 93 Lebaron GTC, it has the 3 litre V6 as well

I have a '91 white/B/B with 3.0 V6. As best I can tell, I get around 28 mpg and I'm very satisfied with it.

my overall average is about 24 mpg. I will know better this weekend what it will do on the highway after the engine work was done.

Imperial North---fuel mileage for my 2 are as follows:

'89 T2---19 MPG mixed, 28.5 MPG hgwy

'90 V6---20 MPG mixed, 26 MPG hgwy

The mileage for the T2 depends on the judicious usage of the turbo. The V6 is a quieter highway cruiser. The cars are like fraternal twins--they look pretty much the same but with different personalities.
