DB-4 Stromberg Bronze Sidedraft Carburetor

I recently purchased a Stromberg model MD pseudo-sidedraft bronze aftermarket carburetor for a DB-4. It has a date code that indicates a 1921 manufacture date. Despite missing a few parts, it looks like it will work nicely.

Since the bowl cover plate is missing (presumably with the manufacturers’ name on it), I can't verify that it was made by Stromberg, but is makes sense since the carb is almost a mirror image of a Stromberg OS-2 that I saw in a photograph.

<O:pDoes someone know about these Stromberg MD carbs?

Whoa! Many thanks for the pictures!

Can I buy a scanned or printed copy from you? What are your plans for the bowl cover?

Have you used this type of carb?

thanks

Gus
