Tim's 1941 SSE
I recently bought a replacement stainless rocker moulding piece for my 41' SSE which supposedly fits 44-44S and 44S-47. When I went to place it on the car I noticed that the bend that is close to the front fender is sharper than the piece that came with the car and that the piece that came with the car is actually longer that the moulding that I purchased. I would have thought that the rocker moulding pieces within the special series would have all been the same length, but that does not seem to be the case. Were the rocker mouldings on the sedanette (46 SSE model) longer than the regular special? Thanks for any help you can provide.Tim Romans BCA#44777
42crazy
Tim, if the piece that you just purchased has a sharp inside bend at the rear of the front fender, it is most likely for the '42, not '41d. '41's have a very gentle curve at the rear of the front fender.
