Being a fan of all 1991-1996 B-BODIES please elaborate on the downgraded seats.

I thought only the Caprice with cloth interior recieved a cheaper fabric for 1996. Please be elaborate as much possible.

THANKS

P.S. Good luck with your search. I always wanted a 1998 (not 1997, not 1999) Bright Red long bed 2wd Ford Ranger with an auto. I wanted it mint and I finally found it(30,000 miles and seat covers its whole life). Never thought I would. It has grey split bench seats, doesn't have the tachometer, and fog lights. I am going to rectify the tachometer, because Ford I.P.s are plug and play from that era unlike GM and the foglights I will add later because all the wiring is there. The captains chairs only if I score a crazy deal on them and am feeling ambitious.

LET ME TELL YOU FINDING SOMETHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED IS QUITE GRATAFYING. KEEP SEARCHING!!!!

THEHKP7M13....The earlier models with the LT1, '94-'95 and SOME '96 (maybe earlier than that too) the seats were tuck and roll. In most of the '96's they did away with the nice tuck & roll and just installed a rather flat leather seat with minimal stitching. These flat seats stretch over time and then the leather gets all bunched up...like rumpled up bedding. Not nearly as elegant, long lasting or good looking as the tuck & roll seats.

What if you find a nice 1996 of your dreams and then score a set of seats out of a 94-95? How are the 91-93 Roadmaster seats?

I THINK the 91-93 are the nice seats but I don't KNOW that for sure. I DO know that the seats I don't like are some 96's only. Too much hassle to change seats....some have heated seats, some don't etc. And...why put older seats in a newer wagon?
