Guest lmccoll
I am helping my dad restore a 24 touring, it is now 95% completed. The touring top has replacement material on it, probably from the 50's or 60's. The back window is clear plastic just sewn in.My question is, I know it is supposed to have a metal frame around the glass, is this year rectanglar or oval? I have found many pictures that are rectanglar that appear original. I havent found a repo and doubt I would find an original, so we were thinking about using a Model A, they are rectangular 7" by 16.5".What do you think? Thanks for any help.Larry
keiser31
I have a book of Dodge Brothers cars and the photos for 1924 show a rectangular rear window with a frame. Don't know the size.
Guest alex_houston
19 3/4 by 7 1/4 exposed glassYou could use the ford one and if you ever find the right one, you can just insert it in your top without having to do a complete top replacement. Guest lmccoll
Alex and Keiser, Thanks for the info. An upholstery shop found one, he said he wasn't sure what it was made for, but, it is 20" wide and 8" tall, pretty close. The Model A is 7" by 16.5" on the outside. Thanks for everyones help. Car is almost completed.
