Guest northmn
Does anyone know if there is a type of engine oil that replace the SF 10W30 oil GM recommended in the 83 operators manual? My GM dealer says the SF is a type used in the early 80's & not available anymore. -Bob-
tim63riv
Bob,API (American Petroleum Institute) standards have changed since the 80's. You just need to look for a 10W/30 oil that has a "starburst" symbol on it that says energy conserving and you should be good to go, unless you have different oil specs north of the border!Take Care,Tim
