WCMetz Posted December 20, 2023 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Jim - Thomas Guilbault just recently posted on the FB group "Metz/Waltham Vehicles - Motorcycle - Orient Bicycle" that he found the motor number on the car he is working on. In his picture it looked like the number had been painted over and was located on the flat area next to what he called the breather cover. In your picture, the cover is black with what look like brass flathead screws. The flat area opposite the magneto above the valves is where it looks like he found the number. I'm not familiar with the air-cooled Metz cars, but I hope this helps. If you are on Facebook (I reluctantly am), you might want to join the FB Group mentioned above.
