fordee9r (Ron Springstead)
I have been approached by a couple of fellows interested in joining our Region. They are concerned that if they send in their National dues now, they will have to renew again in December.
It seems to me that at least one of our members first joined at the Hershey Fall Meet and his membership was good through December of the following year.
Does anyone know if there is a certain date where AACA includes next year's membership when joining this year?
Any info would be appreciated! Guest
Ron ~ Tell them to send it in now with a note requesting the membership begin Nov 1st. That way the application will be there and there is no risk of forgetting to send it if they wait until Oct or Nov. ~ hvs
ronbarn
The AACA By-Laws state in Article II Section 10, "Membership applications aproved during October, November, and December are valid for the ensuing fiscal year." Thus, applications before October 1 will only be good to the end of this year.
