Guest mike bl Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 The shift tower is early Ford 1932 to early 1938 as indicated by just one shifter rail indent. The bell housing is most likely Ford V8 flathead, don't know the year. The bell housing that is only a half circle looks to be for a four cylinder Ford 1932-1934. Guest Bob Call Posted November 30, 2008 Share Posted November 30, 2008 The bellhousing above and behind the shifter is a Ford pickup, 49-53. The Mercury passenger car is pressed steel instead of cast iron but is the same size and bolt patterns.Looks like a Ford transmission inside the bellhousing. To the left of the oil filter canister is a Ford transmission case and to the left of it is the overdrive tailhousing for the trans. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
