1933 Chevrolet VIN Location?

Recommended Posts

I am having trouble registering a 1933 Chevrolet Coupe that I purchased at an auction due to the fact that I don't know where the VIN number is located. The Department of Motor Vehicle personnel conducting the required vehicle inspection could not find one either. There is a VIN number on the paperwork I received when I purchased the car, so I know there must be one somewhere on the vehicle. The car does not appear to have the original engine. Please help.

your serial number should start with either "CA" or "CC". It is in the same place as on the '32 models. Serial numbers on closed cars were on the right body sill under floor mat. Serial numbers on open cars were on the right side of the seat frame. (Note: The '32 model VIN started with "BA")
