hi guysWhile working thru the Brakes on the 8-90 I decided to remove and refurbish all the rods, levers and linkages. All of the Clevis Pins were badly worn, some were seized in the levers and the holes in the levers were worn-two quite badly. I decided to replace every Clevis Pin and here's where I discovered what may be a "Top Tip". New pins are available in the UK in both Imperial (inch) and metric sizes; the originals are 5/16" diameter so I purchased 8mm Metric replacements which measure 3thou larger (0.314 as opposed to 0.311) the worn holes could then be drilled out to suit and only two were so oversized as to need bushing. 20 or so pins later and all is well! Now onto the Dampers which don't seem to have seen any oil for some time!regardsJules

Hi Mark

I thought Dampers was the Americanized! we tend to call them Shock Absorbers still!

Any advice much appreciated-have not been able to remove filler plugs yet-they are such small diameter am concerned they will break off

cheers
