reattadudes
we were just stripping several cars, and have two pairs of exceptionally nice sun visors. one is burgundy, ('88-'90) and the other is saddle ('88-'91) there are no sags, rips, burns, or holes in either one, and mirrors are all clear, and all lights work. they look like new.
if any of you have tried to have yours recovered, you know it never really comes out too well, as these assemblies are really not made to take apart once they were assembled.
either pair is available for $100, including shipping, and each pair includes the visor clips. these are for COUPES ONLY, and the visor clips do not interchange with convertibles.
so if you're tired of that broken corner of the visor hitting you in the face every time you get in, send us an email at reattadudes@aol.com, or www.buickreattaparts.com
thanks, Mike
sahein
The sunvisors are a piece of cake to recover.
Do not try to split the visor apart. Use a blunt instrument such as a small putty knife to force the new material into the split.
reattadudes
the biggest problem I have had is not splitting them open, but when inserting material under the mirror assembly one of two things happen: the mirror breaks ( have two of those here) or the mirror becomes really wobbly, and there is no way to tighten it. (have three of those here)
my upholstery guy won't even touch them.
reattadudes
just wanted to say thanks to all the people who inquired about the sun visors. I have sold both the saddle and red sets, and will have several more in the next few weeks.
Mike
