bookertee Posted April 22, 2008 Share Posted April 22, 2008 Could someone tell me some information about the side gears and axle shafts on a 48 thru 55 Buick rear axle. I'd like to know the number of splines and the outside diameter of the axles at the spline. I assume this is constant through all the series for the years listed. Could someone verify that also? The Old Guy Posted April 23, 2008 Share Posted April 23, 2008 The side gears and axle shafts will interchange from 1940 to 1955, but I don't have the dimensions.
