Red Brake Light - Always On

Have red brake light. Always on. ABS light goes out. Had my 90 in for carpet dyeing and window tinting. Picked it up and red light didn't go off. Drove it home (less than 2 miles). Drove carefully and stopping was not a problem. Printed out brake test and performed. Results seemed to be similar to what was talked about in the test results recap. Read that Red Light causes only the front brakes to function. Did a 15 MPH test down my street and when I appied the brakes the car stopped but with a noticable nose dive. Tried three more times before parking the car. Touched the front disc and it was warm. Touched the back disc and it was stone cold.
Did some more reading on the forum (could dedicated a forum just to brakes) and found a post from Padgett taking about the hydraulic boost system in relationship to the RED light.
Looking for suggestions before I call my dealer or local repair person.
Thanks

Crystal ball gazing I would say accumulator or pressure switch in that order.
But...would like to know the exact times and count for the tests and whether the pump runs or not.
Any ALDL codes?

Boy, help me get the egg off my face....parking brake was on just enough to light the light. The guy who dyed my carpet must have pushed it just a bit. Thanks for the easy fix. Paranoia about brakes was setting in. Glad it happened as it got me to do the brake test. In the words of Wally888 "Don't take yourself so serious, no one else does." Now I can drive to work tomorrow and show off my dye and tint.
Thanks for the "easy" fix.
Fred

Maui,
Tell me more about you 'dye' job...My new baby is all but perfect, I need to remove the 'slightly purple' rear tint, and the back molded carpet is alittle faded...I read posts about trying to get new carpet, and had wondered about just having it redyed...I live over near Youngstown, Oh..Not far from you...Thanx.. P.S.-My interior is tan
[ 05-19-2002: Message edited by: NO2Diver ]

I had Tan carpet dyed or maybe I should say sprayed.
It did a great job of covering w/ little matting but the color was wrong. The sprayer and I selected and agreed on the color but when it dried it was too dark and dirty looking.

Just a note - if the red light is on due to a pressure loss than it will also turn off the abs (yellow light will be on). The only thing I know of that would turn the red light only on would be either the parking brake on slightly or the parking brake switch malajusted (other possibilities of much lower probability omitted).
