hddennis
I originally thought this was a cobbled car but now know it is a commercial chassis. The seat doesn't belong and the original, removable seat has been lost. I find evidence that six posts were cut off that must have supported a roof with side curtains as the bed is covered with snaps on the sides and tailgate. This is a very short ,lightly constructed body with no evidence of more than two seating. Anyone have any ideas what it was or where I might get pictures of light deliveries of this period? I really like some of the pie wagon bodies but wonder is this too late for that style? Thanks, Howard Dennis
Chuck Richardson
Howard--I know that variations of the "pie wagon" commercial body were used on Model T's thruout their run (until '27).
hddennis
Thanks to the help of a fellow Maxwell owner (not on here) I woke up to find this in my email. It may be the only example of some of the elusive information I've been seeking.
