War years V8. Help.

"My father worked at Ford Motor Company in the 40's during the war. He was involved with making drawings for the M4 Sherman tank. Among his drawings were some engine calculation sheets for a V8 engine. The dates on the drawings are 1942 and 1943. I suspect these engine calculation sheets were for the 1100 cubic inch Sherman tank engine, but I can't say for sure. I was wondering if you could refer me to someone who might be able to answer this question."
