vergil
Any suggestions as how to remove what's left of the longer top bows in their sockets. They were broken right at the end of the sockets. They're in there really tight and I've only been able to chip away at the first 6 inches using a wood borer.
Jan Arnett
If you are not worried about the paint you can use a torch and burn them out. A burr on a flexible shaft will remove a lot of wood. Are you sure you have removed all the little nails?
vergil
Thanks, Jan. This is the answer I was looking for. Yes, all the nails are out and I also drilled a few holes with an 18" bit which should make the burning out a little easier.
