stock_steve
My dad used to take me there on Sundays after church, back in the early '70s or so (possibly late '60s, but early '70s seems more accurate to me). There was a very active & exciting dune buggy racing scene there in the sand pit next to the town dump. There were, as I recall, several classes of cars, all VW-Beetle based, from stockers, to "rails," to all-out hot rod modifieds. Fun times. I can't find any internet references at all about it, so just figured I'd post here. Would be interested to hear if anyone else ever had any exposure to that action... Paul Adao
Hello My name is Paul Adao and I raced at the CDB club. I was president for one year and raced for about 4 years, it was loads of fun. I wish I had photos. My car was a rail Yellow # 105 and won several years in my class.
