1930 body question

I've got a '30 Marquette coupe. The body is wood framed and while the wood is solid, it appears to have shrunk somewhat over the last 77 years. Many of the joints are loose and screws and nails wiggle their way out when I drive it. The whole thing is pretty rickety. Someone told me to put linseed oil on it, but I have not tried that yet. What are my options?

Linseed oil will replenish what was lost over the years, but I probably will not restore the original dimensions. One option is a product used in furniture repair shops called "Wood Swell".

I have used it to restore loose wood spokes in my artillery wheels & it works great to tighten wood joints.
