bobcich
I have a 1966 TH400 that suddenly developed a hard 1-2 shift problem. All other shifts are fine including reverse, fluid level OK....anyone have any simple checks before I have it evaluated? Thanks!
imported_Badger Guy
Sounds like a vacumn problem. A new modulator is cheap and simple to put on. Check for vacumn leaks. A filter change is always a good idea if it's been awhile. Although I'm sure that wouldn't fix the problem.
bobcich
Thanks Badger Guy ....I think you nailed it...hard 1-2 shift, sucking up fluid, revs out..I believe a $18 vaccuum modulator is the fix!
