  1. I already know. They won't return calls on the subject.
  2. I am sure they would plead ignorance and blame it all on the consignor. Given their stature in the world of auto auctions I would think it would behoove them to get to the bottom of it. When selling cars in the 100k price range it is incumbent on the auctioneer to check the facts in their publications.
  3. Check out the auction results for R & M Auctions Amelia Island Auction of March 8 2008. There was a 53 Skylark that sold for 124K. In the listing it says the car was owned by Walt Bommer of Cincinnati and goes on to list all the awards won with the car including AACA and major Concours Judging. I know Walt and the car he did and this is not it!! The car pictured and sold by R & M is nothing close to the quality of the real Walt Bommer car. Someone got snookered if they relied on the auction catalog description. Someone perpetuated a fraud against the bidders at this auction!
  4. The Chinese cars will be out soon and some "Americans " will flock to buy them because they will be cheap. Cheap is the reason Haulmark put the Hi-Run tires on their trailers. Cheap is why our pets were dying from their Chinese food. Cheap is why the Dollar Store toothpaste had anti-freeze in it. I sure hope the Chinese jets and tanks are cheap when we find ourselves unable to make armaments to protect this country! PS: I have three Hi-Run tires for sale.....CHEAP!
  5. It was 100 degrees today and will be 101 tomorrow when we pull the trailer to Moline. We won't be traveling on the Chinese tires provided by Haulmark. It will be on a new set of Cooper tires made in Findlay Ohio. It is a shame I had to shell out another $500 for the piece of mind, but that is the way it is in America these days. Hope my Mexican made Chevrolet holds up!
  6. All of Haulmarks 10000gvw come with Chinese tires. The factory told me they are made special for Haulmark. They are also the only tire stocked by the dealer. I guess I could have refused to buy it until they were replaced but I doubt I would have saved much in such a transaction. My original point was, an American trailer manufacturer should not be using Chinese tires!
  7. I just bought a new 24ft, 10000 GVW Haulmark Trailer. The tires are Hi-Run made in Beijing China. Unbelievable!!! A quality trailer manufacturer using Chinese tires. I complained to Haulmark. Their response was, the tires are warranted by the manufacturer (whoever that is). I told them I wasn't worried about the $100 tire warranty. I am worried about the $150,000 payload that is riding on the Chinese tires. I have ordered a set of Cooper trailer tires. Anyone want a good deal on some "Hi-Run" tires
