in What is it?
Looks like an oil pick up screen to me.

They must have shown up later in the day.
I got there at about nine and only stayed for a couple of hours. It was scheduled for two days, so they may have showed up on Sunday.
Fun stuff.
That show was near Aroura, so a fairly easy bunch of two-lane roads for me to get there.

Lots of blurry pix of your finger, too.
It must have been the phones fault. 😂

I love the "original" paper clip holding the bezel on the 1916 ALF headlight!
You spent to much time looking at the thing.

I shined a strong light on the generator and saw the F terminal in front, then the G terminal, then the A terminal in back.
Exactly why I carry a flashlight on my belt along with the Leatherman.
Old eyes seem to need as much help as we can give them.

Looks like the middle of a city to me.
That would be strange to me.

Did you see any A or F letters on the generator case? If not you have to remove and open the generator to positively the armature and field terminals. I wouldn’t go by just the drawing.
This is what I was thinking.
Maybe a little steel wool or the likes to see if that case has some light stamping on it.

No noise have power at the pump full of fluid. I believe the pump motor just gave up.

I would be suspect of the electric fuel pump.
The symptoms you describe indicate to much fuel.
If you can, hook up a gravity fed temporary fuel source. Like a boat can or old lawn mower tank,

Check out the side lamps.

The one picture of the girl sitting at the wheel.
She was telling us about how her grandfather had it and sold it when she was little.
It seemed to have disappeared.
Many years later following a week tip she found it not to far from her home.
She was able to buy it and get it running.
You can see the delight on her face as she had just fired it up.
It was a very loud and nasty sounding beast, and she obviously loved it and fit it her well.

I see it too, but being as dirty and crusty as it is it may be deceiving.
Just the way it is cast.

Drove this up to the Beaches cruise yesterday with the drivers window down. About 40 miles each way, mostly freeway.
Hardly even felt the breeze. Vent windows closed, but I did open one of the firewall vents.
So, yes, the vehicles are all different as I can't easily find the right combination on the new Ram to get the buffeting tolerable.
I don't much care to have the wind in my hair ALL of the time. And the Valiant is the best for that. But I do like for there to be fresh air circulating.

Feel the battery cables and connections after cranking like that.
If you find any hot spots that is probably where the problem is.
