  1. Where do I find info on the BCA?

As far as the interrupter magnet install, do I need to remove the WP pulley to see the sensor? I looked real quick and could not see it. If I have 041c and 041h codes, does that mean it is an intermittent proplem (i.e. went away and then came back and would mean the magnet is still there. Probably something else?), or does it mean the codes were reset?

    Thanks,

  2. Well, I have had some time to look over the car and I do have several questions.

    1) I checked for error codes and came up with: e041c, e041h, b447c, b445h, and b552h. From what I've learned here, the 041 could be the cam sensor (clear code and see if it comes back?) The b445 and 447 are a/c problems (which makes sense since the a/c is not cold). It was converted 2 years ago. What is the b552?

    2) Any "new" ideas on how to get the cassette tape to eect?

    3) The car is "pinstripe delete", but the PO put red tape on. It's in so-so shape, but i don't like it. Any thoughts on removing it? Will I ruin the paint or get a "ghost" image of the tape?(white car).

    4) For Barney: You put Kumho 245/50/R16 tires on your 91 last year. Are you still happy with them? Do they rub? And, do you know what model (ECST SPT)?

    Thanks for the help,

  3. I was looking for a 90 conv, but came across a 91. White with red interior, black top. It needs some cleaning up and a few things, but seems to be very original and in decent shape. The price was right, so I bought it. Has 103,000 miles, but only 12,000 in the past 12 years. PO stated that he puchased it from a Buick employee who stated it was one of the last ones made (who knows if it's true). vin# 1G4EC33L6MB900461. I'm sure I'll have questions and I'll post some pictures once its clean.

    Thanks,

  4. I MAY BUY A 1990 CONVERTIBLE WITH 90,000 MILES ON IT. IS THE REATTA A RELIABLE CAR? I KNOW ITS 17 YEARS OLD, BUT CAN IT BE DRIVIN ON A REGULAR BASIS (ie TO WORK ONCE A WEEK AND WEEKENDS)? IT WOULD REPLACE A 1968 DATSUN ROADSTER (I'M ONLY ALLOWED ONE TOY). THE ROADSTER IS IN GREAT CONDITION, BUT ITS NOT THE TYPE OF CAR YOU WANT TO GET STUCK IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC IN. WILL I BE HAPPY?

    THANKS,

    MDCL
