1. Just finished reading the latest Riview...GREAT work, folks! geo. (ROA #11280)
2. You can also try All American Classics, they still had a few '65 bodies the last time I checked. They're up in Vancouver, WA. Geo. (ROA #11280)
3. If my experience is any guide, eventually you will wish you had gotten the switch, too. I'd suggest you pick up the whole unit while you can. geo. (ROA #11280)
4. Never mind...I think I've found what I need. http://www.buick-parts.com/catriv/riv04.pdf
5. Can anyone suggest a source for parking brake cables/parts for my '65 GS? Thanks.
6. Thanks for your suggestions, Chuck and Dick. I will definitely be talking to coilsprings.com. And yes, Chuck, my shiny new ROA membership card is just 3 months old. It looks like a GREAT organization for anyone interested in Rivieras of any age. As for shocks, I know that this car was originally equipped with the H2 suspension package, so I'm guessing that the Monroe shocks may be just a little "soft" for my needs. I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever had their '65 Riv Gran Sport judged, and what might qualify as an "authentic" replacement for the original Heavy Duty Delco shocks that were supplied with this handling package? It will be some time before I'm ready to show this car, but I'd like to start with a good foundation for my restoration. Geo.
7. Hi to all. This is my 1st post, so be gentle! I'm trying to bring a '65 Riv Gran Sport back from the dead, and I'm looking to stay as "original" as I can. Can anyone recommend a source for shocks/springs that will bring back that great "stiff & solid" GS feel? Thanx, geo.
