I know I don't know things, but have enough sense to ask before I goof something up---What, where is the S terminal.
-
How do I test the solenoid? How do I test the starter? I have it off the car.

Beemon, I've been under the car. I only got a spark and nothing else.

Bob, How can I tell if the motor is seized up?

On my 1955 Roadmaster, It sat a while-- like 5 months-- and when I went to start it, the starter sort of growled or grunted, but no more. I figured the battery was dead, so charged it, or at least tried to, and it would not charge. So-- new battery--same noise. I jumped the battery post on the solenoid
to the other one and got only a spark, no noise at all.
Any help would be appreciated, Earl B.

I'd say the rifle is a 22 and the car is a 1924-25 Packard 226 sedan.

The third car could be a Stude, with a bent rear left fender.
My father turned the car over once... Makes me wonder even moreso if it is my grandfather's car.

Mine was born in Kansas City, Kansas and was a spring car.

Well, believe it or not, I'm working on the Roady some. Some friends helped me get the bent up hood off as well as the old hinges and springs... well, the springs are ok... just not the hinges...
The springs are painted redish... I think they may have been Cherokee red. Nothing else under there is red, so, I'm wondering if this is original? If it was a spray bomb job, someone sure was neat and NO overspray, and that's why I'm wondering if it's original. HELP.....
and I'll thank you in advance for the help! Earl

Try this email to DuPont. They have been very helpful with older paint colors.

My friend Ron is trying to remove his steering wheel. I took mine off years ago and can't remember how I did it. Can anyone tell me how to remove the steering wheel? Many thanks, Earl

My friend couldn't believe that anyone could come up with the answer to the car question. I'll call him later today and let him know I had two car friends who came up with the answers. Thank you both very much!!!

Willie, I carried the starter to a starter/generator repair shop. He bench tested it and it ran great.
