I have instructions to recharge the magnets using three car batteries. I was told by another modelt'r that that could damage the coils. He suggested using a battery charger instead. Any comments, suggestions or otherwise help would be appreciated. I have just "refinished" my 17 roadster and am getting ready to start on a 25 Canadian fordor. I am going to use a kit for the unholstery on my 1937 Ford fordor deluxe. Does anyone have any experience with the Cartouche kit from Macs? How would it compare to LeBaron Boney?

I am getting ready to take my 37 fordor apart to restore and will be using an upholstery kit. If you still need pictures of these bars, I'll be glad to send pictures. What kit are you using. I am curious about the difference between LeBaron Bonney and Cartouche. Any input would be helpful.
