1. Does anyone know how to adjust the brake system for higher altitudes? I live in Denver, The Mile High City, and haven't had any problems with my brakes until I took a trip to the mountains. It seemed that the brakes were grinding pretty hard the higher the elevation, especially downhill. As soon as I started to get back around 6000 feet above sea level they returned to a normal working order but anything over about 7500 feet they overheat and don't work properly. If anyone can give me some info on it I'd really appreciate it.
2. I had a local stereo shop install an alarm/keyless/remote start on mine. Dropped quite a bit of $$ on the whole thing as I went with all the extras but they didn't seem to have any problems hooking up the keyless to the existing system. You might want to call around the local stereo/alarm shops and see if they can give you some advice. Ultimate Electronics usually has a pretty good staff on hand.

My first decent pics...I'll get better ones once I stop buying car parts and buy a real camera :-)
6. The door panels aren't really that bad to remove. I just replaced the front speakers in my 89 with some MTX 5.25" coax speakers and the whole process took about 30 minutes.
7. Here's a link to a pretty nice lookin Reatta. Went and checked it out, even though I can't buy it. Runs good and the interior is nice and clean. It's just north of Denver about 10 miles, if anyone is interested. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/165299742.html
8. well Shelby, I just dropped $150 on tint, $1100 on wheels and $500 on an alarm so at the moment I'm kinda tapped, but next month I plan on starting on the engine so any ideas would be great. I don't want to spend more than about $800 per project though (unless it's putting a whole new engine in). Thanks
9. Anyone got any tricks or tips to up the horsepower on the Reatta's 3.8? Anything would be great, even 5HP would help. It's obviously an older engine so if there is anyway to maybe regain lost HP I could sure use it....got my [censored] kicked by a freakin Grand Am . Until I get the supercharged 3.8 I need something temporary. Thanks. Also, just wondering if anyone was gonna post some pics of their Reattas or whatever other cars you may have. I am getting an alarm installed at the moment but as soon as I get it back I'm takin pics of my baby , if anyone is interested in seeing them.
10. Hello all, I'm new here and this is my first post. I saw this thread and had to reply. There are only a few cars that I have seriously dreamed of owning and now I actually own one of them. A 1989 Reatta. I've been wanting one since I was in highschool (when they first came out) and have just recently purchased one. It's black with the saddle interior and at 111500 miles the engine still runs amazingly well. So as far as this post is concerned...here's my list: 89 Reatta 67 Camaro RS/SS (not as rare, but I've always wanted one) 62-63 Cadillac Deville Hearse S&S Sideloader (unusual?) and for non-GM the list is rather short as well: 92 Subaru SVX 98 BMW 318ti Hatchback 67 Shelby Cobra (the 427 Hemi side oiler with the dual superchagers would be nice but the last time I checked those sold for about 1 million)
11. OK, I know this car is not yet a "classic" but it is rare being one of only 21,751 ever made. I'm not looking to restore it to factory specs, I want it to be unique. Does anyone knows if I can put a newer 3800 with a supercharger in it? I've got 18" chrome wheels on it, getting the windows tinted this weekend and hopefully adding a spoiler from a 98 VW Jetta. A small list of other things I'm planning include: Lambo doors with shaved handles, slotted and drilled rotors, HKS cold air intake, re-doing the interior in charcoal grey, and adding one hell of a sound system. If anyone can link me to some good sites for any of the above mentioned projects, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll be posting some pics as soon as I get the windows done
