Help seeking serial # info for a '41 Dodge

I have a 1954 Chrysler New Yorker 4 door. I have a title from the previous owner that has a VIN # C54288319, yet on the door post it has the # 7253932. Does this make any sense to anyone? Anyone know the value? It has original paint, some rust, 70528 miles. Thanks, Newbie -
