Hi Don't know what yours is actually doing.............but I have one with 225K on it, that would'nt center (would always seem to pull one way or the other)and I was told by a friend to try some Lukas power steering treatment (think that's how it was labeled)and to my surprise resolved the problem.

Is there an easy way to tell me where the theft deterrent mod. is and what it looks like ??????????? I'd like to just disconnect mine.

Well believe or not I need to be on your list of 'bad security fairy' strikes again. I was home (luckily) when it did it to me and the only way I knew to disarm it was the battery cable. I'm thinking one of these cold days I'll get the service manual out and see if I can figure out which wire is feeding those horns and at that point I'll put a switch inline so I can shut it quickly. 1988 no remote issue

I put a new harmonic balancer on sbout a year or so ago and I swear I picked up a vibration. Has anyone one ever had a bad one ???(out of balance type of thing)

I don't have an opportunity to compare right now, but I have a teves on a 1989 ninety eight. My recollection of it is that it appears to be the same or very close. Point being (if I'm right) other GM resources.

How come there is never a deal like that in Wisconsin ?

Any idea why they wanted them removed ?

A few years back I had a 3800 rebuilt for a boat. After it was done, I was asked by friend why I didn't put a 4300 in it, saying that the manifolds were the same (important aspect given they are water cooled on this boat). From what I remember it sounded like the engine mounting points were the same also? Has anyone used this engine?

Nemo Interesting observation! That should translate to a rear wheel drive convert. not being subject to this problem.

Thanks The only thing that looks triangular to me....... is off of the strut tower on the passenger side. Is this what you mean? I think my 90 has a brace connecting the towers. I guess I have to go out too the garage and look.

Sorry My Seville has a carpeted surface on the inside of the trunk lid to protects it from dents/dimples should something move around in the trunk or heaven forbid some one thinks something will fill fit and slambs the lid down. On the Cadillac with the automatic closer there aren't any second chances, which is maybe why it got created in the first place, versus cosmetic.

Steve Could you describe where this triangular brace is and/or better yet get us a picture of it on the car ?

There should be a protector on the inside of the trunk lid. Has any one ever made one or have a name of a co. that makes these ?

I swapped mine for the non air bag version, just because it's so much nicer than the 90/91 version

I have wondered this same thing. What if anything did they change on the 91 ??????????????? I really like my 90 but I am disapointed with Buick over this and wish it could be corrected. I have a 91 Miata that I have never noticed this shake. Is this fairly common with the big GM's (Electra,DeVille,Eldorado,ect)?
