  2. I am working on a 1953 Buick with a 322 engine, one of the push rod is bent badly , so I wanted to replace them...The problem is I have ordered two sets so far and they are both the wrong length...Has anyone had luck ordering in new ones? If so where? last set was a Sealed Power set # RP-3010 and they swear they are right, they are larger dia and about .25 longer than the ones that came out of the car...
  3. Has anyone installed an electric fuel pump on a 1953 Buick with good results or is this type of conversion going to cause carb issues with a 2 barrel

    1928 heater

wanted to see how the hoses are routed ...I am not sure what fittings it takes ,since the hose were all removed and only the heater core remained inside the car

    Body Glazing Putty ?

Speedster...If your metal is pitted as bad as you claim , I would suggest finding someone in your area that can soda blast your parts..You are going to have to get every bit of rust out of the pits before you can proceed.. We like to soda blast then use a metal conditioner on pitting to make sure everything is clean and stable, otherwise the minute rust in the bottom of your pits will eat its way through any primer in time and cause blistering

    Body Glazing Putty ?

you say that the Evercoat may be to thin? What are you trying to use glazing putty for?

    Body Glazing Putty ?

I would recommend Evercoats Polyester Finishing Putty (#416)..It is designed for modern finishes and has a fast dry time with no pin holes. Not sure what you are trying to "correct" with glaze ,but for about 20 bucks you can buy a 30 oz container with hardner and it should be way more than you need to correct minor flaws. If you think you need more than that you may need to do more prep work
  11. Speedster thanks for the resonse...(I think)..but I can't justify taking a bunch of J.C.Whitney scraps and cobble them into an exhaust system..I was just seeing if anyone had ordered pipes before with any luck
  12. I also have a 1928 533 and just had the motor compltly restored back to original specs (two year process) but it only has one belt on waterpump,I am sure this is correct since there was an extreem amount of research to get motor back to the way it was when delivered from factory...just curious what color & how complete is your car /condition?
  13. I have a 1928 Packard 533 and I am wanting to install a new exhaust system on it, Does anyone have a recommendation of someone who an build and ship a high quality system that will fit? I purchase an exhaust system form a company listed in a MAJOR Packard publication , but the fit and workmanship was lousy!! any help is appreciated...
