Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?
-
Al, Do you still have the info on the black one at Carlisle? Dave might be interested in that one and you checked it over pretty well.
-
Derek,
You can read Paul's when you are overnighting at his house.
I just found out that Canada was originally spelled CND, it changed because you guys kept pronouncing it as C-eh?, N-eh?, D-eh?.

You can see the center vent ( a/c only ) just below the radio and above the HVAC controls. This car is a steal at $400 and I am not even an Electra guy.
-
I'll be there friday, but will need the weekend to get back home to be back at work monday:(unless I win the lotto, of course;)
-
Looks like another trip will be in the works soon.
-
My two have the T135, I have never seen an inflatable spare in the 79-85 gen cars.
-
Randy/Tim,
I need to go out and look at the cars this weekend and I can let you know. It is amazing how you can look at something for years and never really see it.
-
John,
The brochure shows a triple stripe whitewall, not gold/white/gold. I had to look at my brochure and I can see why you thought it had gold pinstripes on the tires as the color of the gold car seems to "bleed" onto the tires. I think you will be fine with a 1" whitewall to look correct, but Coker does do the triple whitewall if you are interested.

Great weather, great cars, great people. What more could you want!
The winning numbers to Saturday's powerball would be nice:D
-
Rick, Did you notice the fender skirts? I saw the same package done on a Park Avenue back in '93, it looked very good on the long wheelbase car.
-
I received my copy today, It is another great issue!
-
Sounds like a regulator problem Dan, the click is the motor trying to move. I think something jammed up ( lack of use? that is just as bad as overuse ) Sounds like you will be pulling off some door panels. Good luck.

A passenger side remote mirror was not available until 1974, so placement of the control is something you will need to figure out as there is no factory location.
-
Interesting idea:rolleyes:, but first we will try giving Donna a bat and have her work you over and she wouldn't even need an excuse.
-
Not sure which Riv I am bringing, but I will be there.

Oh yeah, there was a funky little mid 70's Toyota HiLux Camper. No unintended acceleration here (I couldn't resist).
No intended accelleration either on that rig.
You forgot the C4 Corvette parked by the Porsche.

Kevin, I did positive things for the club for many years, and stepped up to the plate on many occasions, Chair of National Judges Records, National Regional/Div & Chapter Coordinator, 1967 Tech Advisor, Chapter Director, etc.
I did the groundwork on this once as C & R Coordinator and my original working folder(well marked as Opel Div) was passed on to the BCA office and I guess at that time it was dropped/ more than likely trashed. While I still enjoy the BCA and want to see it grow, I have no interest in getting back into the BCA's dirty politics
Keith, Why are you so intent in trying to trash the BCA? Dirty politics-when? This is a club of like minded individuals who enjoy Buicks. The board is made up of people willing to volunteer to help run the club. I don't know if you are upset because something didn't go your way but I highly doubt that the BCA office "trashed" your work. I can not speak for the prior people who served on the board so I do not know what their feeling regarding Opels to be allowed in the club, but I do know that the current board would listen to any proposals brought to us. If you are really serious about this, bring something up to the board. We will listen.

Not mine,

This is a GREAT chance for you to run with this Keith. You have stated in the past you have the contacts. Time to do something positive for the club.

Kevin, stirring up is a good thing, if more people stirred things up, more would get discussed and done. If no one prodded it would be status quo. BTW, another great post from a board member.
Stirring up with something helpful to the subject, yes I would agree that is good. Stirring up with comments that are NO help ( bashing ) is just a waste of space.

While there have been many good points made on this thread, it is starting to turn into an ego trip for some posters. We have a non BCA member coming up with some ideas but has a thin skin when another poster has a contrary opinion and makes valid points, both DO have good ideas. We also have a BCA member who only seems to post to try to stir things up again and not offer anything useful ( and not on just this thread ). I would adviSe members to think before typing, we are looking for ideas to help-not ways to raise the hackles of other posters. This is my adviCe to the other members of the forum.

There is a set of all 6 pieces on EBAY right now.

I just received a message that Tom Liddy passed away this morning. Tom was the director of the Fireball chapter and the proud owner of a beautiful 59 Invicta 2 door hardtop and his project 59 convertible. Please remember him and his wife Sally in your prayers.
R.I.P. buddy
