sensor is actually different on the 16V than the 8valve. i have an extra, its just not the easiest place to reach.
-
anybody? before i take the cluster out and try another to see if it works, i think thats easier than changing the sensor 1st and still not knowing if its the cluster or not
-
this really depends on the size of the cans you have available to purchase, i could say 3 cans, but depends of the oz or liters
-
there are ways to repair them and they sell the items, its a matter of taking yours apart and following a procedure with small parts
-
i dont know if anybody has a template but if they have an uninstalled one and want to let you borrow it im sure you could make one
-
radio gone
-
i just wonder how heat resistant its gonna be if made from bed foam which it does resemble
-
sorry radio is gone
-
you should try doing the 16 valve model and routing everything, im glad enough of my harness is still in good shape and i was able to jerry rig the rubber 3 way off the intake so i didnt get a huge vacuum leak when i had to replace my fuel pressure regulator which ment taking the radiator and fan out, take the rail out, etc etc and was a 2 day job in the end and a lot of spaghetti
-
yes its a egg carton style liner and its complete crap honestly but nos its about 250$ and thats why i havent replaced mine yet
-
wow its 21$ a can on amazon now for freeze-12 r12 replacement, thats what i used a couple years ago. sounds like will be doing r134 if i try
-
i have a set of speakers used from my 90, i dont remeber them being staticy
-
i have a factory radio is you are still looking for one
-
whats not working? i have a cluster that the speedometer worked, the odometer didnt
-
i was tempted to use the 90 liner on my 89 hood also but until i can get the correct egg carton style one, il live without
-
good luck finding that stuff, took me years and many auctions to get a tool kit and umbrella. i still need good condition mats. i sold 3 sets of wheels, they arent that expensive
-
i think i did the one in my pickup with 2 cans, and it was empty and had r134 in it so i vacuumed it out and converted back to r12. im tempted to see if the sysytem in my 89 works, might try converting it only cause the r134 is cheaper if it doesnt work and all leaks out lol
-
will be there

R12 replacement last time i bought it it was like 12$ a can. For use with the old system, not r134
-
I spent time picking up parts that were the right color, right condition, etc, so i parted a wrecked 89, a rusty 90, a brakeless 89 and after all that fun, i managed to get all the parts, sold all the stuff i didnt want or need, and im still bursting at the seems with parts in my basement. At least i didnt destroy anything that was saveable. But in 6 years i changed the complete interior out and in 4 days i did everything else so i could finally drive it. Its strange as i have to be one of the youngest TC owners
-
well, ive have this car for at least 6 years and have parted out 3 in my search for parts to finish it. i even drove it for the 1st time this weekend. finally can take it to the show and finally can enjoy this thing.
